Science in the Movies
Explore the secret science behind movie stunts and special effects. Find out how actors breathe in room full of smoke, how stunt people fall off buildings unharmed and much more! During a vivid 1-hour glimpse into movie magic, Stunt and Special Effects Coordinator Steve Wolf shows how the spectacular feats seen in movies are all based on simple science principles. This heightens kids’ interest in science, safety and movie making.

For 15 years Steve Wolf has designed, engineered, and performed stunts and special effects for feature films and television shows, including Cast Away (with Tom Hanks), The Firm (with Tom Cruise), The Client, The Jungle Book, America’s Most Wanted, All My Children, Crocodile Dundee II, and many more. He performs about 80 shows a year for kids.
